Sean:
I'm sending you saveit V2.4.4 .

the file tests.txt: contains the output of several runs of saveit.

I would like to have a man page with the same info provided when you run:
[#root] saveit

I have found using POD the easier way to write a man page.
I would like, if you can help me, reading and making your suggestions to the help text.
Please read the output of saveit and saveit.1

NEWS!!!!
I have added:
1. the option -s ,I have choosen S for Sean Boran, but for the other people the
meaning is suffix_only and I think is the option you wanted.

2. Added a configuration file (/etc/saveit.conf) where you can set your preferences,
i.e. A different Base backup Dir, work allways in suffix_only mode, etc.

I have test it most on RH 6.1, and a little on Solaris x86 7.
I have found the error you pointed (bad number) and it seems to me that is a problem
with the Solaris version of test, that doesn't like to compare a negative number with 0.
(please f you have a couple of minutes, try to write a two line script and test it on Solaris,
and OpenBSD and give some feedback).

Best Regards

Francisco
